Which CV template should you use?

If you are applying for an academic, research, or faculty position, start with Academic Classic — it is the format committees expect, and it presents publications prominently. If the application is screened by software or you are unsure, ATS CV is the safest pick.

For roles in Europe, the Gulf, or academic systems that expect a photograph, choose International CV. For senior leadership and board-level positions, Executive CV strikes a formal, authoritative tone.

Frequently asked questions

Are these CV templates really free?

Academic Classic and ATS CV are completely free to edit and download as Word or PDF. The three premium templates (Research Modern, Executive CV, International CV) require the one-time ₹699 Full Access bundle, which also unlocks every premium resume template and all eight paid AI tools.

Are the templates ATS-friendly?

Yes. The ATS CV template is built specifically to parse cleanly through applicant tracking systems, and every template uses real selectable text (not images), proper section headings, and standard fonts.

Can my CV be more than one page?

Yes — unlike a resume, a CV is expected to run multiple pages. Every template flows content across as many pages as your publications and history need.

Can I change the colours?

Yes. An accent colour picker recolours any template instantly, and the live preview updates as you type.

What is the difference between a CV and a resume template?

A resume template is built for a concise 1–2 page job summary; a CV template is built for a comprehensive, multi-page academic or international document with publications, grants, and teaching. See our CV vs Resume guide for which you need.
